How do I make a downloadable music website?

I am looking to build a downloaded music site for our company. We want customer to go to the website, choose the CD they want, then be able to add it to cart. When they checkout and verify there info, it will email them a link that allows them to download the album they choose. The questions is, what is everything I need to make this happen? Also, how would I protect myself against fraud because I know many will try? Will I need a external hard drive to store our music and it extracts from it when a customer purchase the album? Please help me out. Thanks
