I want to know if Blubster is an illegal downloadable music program?

i have blubster...its a downloadable program....from the internet...like itunes kinda...adn you search for a sing then download and then i import that into my iTunes...I want to know if it is illiegal...just to be on the safe side....and if you can also explain WHY free music programs are illegal...its not hurting anyone right...just the company that gives away the music right?

1. there illegal because free and legal dont go together..nothing is free. The company gets the songs from sumwhere right? maybe they stole them.. I dont think Blubster is illegal. I used to have Blubster but I got rid of it because it was crap..
